I woke up this morning and did my usual routine – making coffee, reading today’s newspaper and my most recent Emails on my laptop and having a 15-minute facial session.
Then I retrieved an Email from a guy I used to hang out with in my 20s and I couldn’t believe what he said in the Email.
「Hey! Did I tell you that you're looking hot and sexy? More pictures please!」
WHAT?! Is he serious???
Okay, I’m very flattered but I’m also shocked!
Okay. I know what you’re thinking but let me tell you. We were good buddies but never had anything romantic between us. He’s now married with a baby boy. I have not seen him for years.
For all the time we spent together, I don’t think he ever complimented on the way I looked, NOT ONCE. People used to wonder what’s going on between us and all I could say was it’s a platonic relationship.
Is this Email a prank or is it a true confession from a married man with a little one of his own? A married friend once told me：「The grass is always greener on the other side and eyeing the one you can’t have is more of a turn-on than doing your better half.」
C’mon…all you married couples! I’m still single and I’m going to be 34. I need some faith from those of you who have chosen to walk down the isle. Help a sista out here, would ya?
