FEAST OF LOVE

FEAST OF LOVE
Release Date: September 28 (USA); October 5 (Taiwan)

Love can make you or break you. Love can heal you or destroy you. Love is kaleidoscopic and what you see is what you get. I was surprised that not a whole lot of media folks showed up for the screening of FEAST OF LOVE. But I have to admit that this is my kind of film. It makes you feel hopeful when you walk out of the cinema. It forces you to examine your love life, especially if you are in denial.

The film beings when a die-hard romantic coffee shop owner finds out that his wife is in love with someone else – a woman and he is troubled by his wife’s sudden change of sexual orientation. Greg Kinnear plays Bradley, the unlucky husband and it seems like he’s always looking for love at all the wrong places. It takes him three attempts to finally get it right. The moral of this story is that you’ll have to keep trying and someday you’ll find the love of your life. We live in a time where people are so fickle. Since you can’t make it right the first time, you’ll just keep bouncing back and hope that by next time you’ll do better.

Bradley takes a leap of faith and then he meets the woman of his dream in ER. How peculiar! He believes that LOVE IS EVERYTHING even though some might disagree and say that love is a trick from God.

I’m convinced that you can’t be afraid to get hurt if you want to succeed in this thing called L-O-V-E. If life is like smooth sailing, I don’t know if there will be any fun left in it. L-IF-E is tedious without the IF in it. After all, I believe that some Ups and downs in life can build characters!

Next time when you feel like maybe you’ve found THE ONE, JUMP with your eyes open! If it doesn’t work out in the end, write it off and say “NEXT in line, please!”
