This Week’s Recommendation: The self-explanatory opening introduces the historical background and for the next 120 minutes every second there’s a sense of danger involving life and death and yet the story is intense at times and humorous too. You’ll get carried away with time. Ben Affleck not only directed ARGO but he is also the protagonist. It’s truly amazing what Affleck is able to accomplish at the age of 40 as a film director with an objective view on political incident and international relations. Comparing the footage from the actual incident and what is portrayed in ARGO you’ll be amazed by the recreations of hostage crisis on screen. It’s one of the must-see films this year.
