After 10 & 1/2 hours in the air, UA872 landed in San Francisco International Airport 30 minutes earlier than scheduled.
My friends planned to pick me up first and then we'd have breakfast together. I was standing by the curb waiting for them before 9 am when they thought my plane wouldn't land 'till 9 am.
Usually my first meal after arrival would be a cultural shock. The serving portion in US restaurants is so big that it's more than what I can eat all day.
We went straight to Stacks for breakfast. We each ordered a different dish so that we could share. When I asked for banana wheat germ pancakes, the waitress didn't tell me that the pancakes are super big. They're bigger than my face!!!
