Happy Birthday To Me!

32 and fabulous! Every year I turn my birthday into a week long celebration. This year is no exception. To me, birthday is more important than Xmas and Valentine's day. I rarely let myself go completely but when it comes to celebrating my birthday, I will go wild and drink 'till I drop. This is the happiest time of the entire year!

And this year I did something unthinkable. No, I didn't marry some stranger I met at a local pub. It's certainly a breakthrough. I chopped off the long hair that's been with me since my high school days. That's more than half of my lifetime! My almost waist-length hair is part of my signature. That's how most people remember me by.

What really happened is that I just went in for a trim and ended up with a brand new style. It was a pleasant surprise! And it grows on me rather fast! I'm really loving this new look. Even though everyone couldn't believe how I just chopped it all off like that, I continue to receive compliments. Everybody is raving about my new haircut!

This new look came as a complete revelation to me. Now I realize that I should have done this a long time ago because it makes me look younger and accentuates my facaial features so much better. Why didn't I think of it then?!

Perhaps we're all afraid of changes. The uncertainty of changes. Just like no one will ever know what the future may bring, therefore they are hesitant to take any leap forward. Next time when an opportunity of changes presents itself, seize it and just go with the flow. As long as you keep an open mind, the rest will follow and you're in it for a pleasant surprise! My brand new haircut is the most perfect example!
