NOMURA SUSHI is hidden in a small alley. It's got an elegant courtyard outside. As you enter NOMURA what you see is a simple dining space, almost bare. As if you can leave all the noises and worries behind when you get situated at the sushi bar. Tonight nothing matters but gourmet food, fine wine, sushi chef and the one you're dining with that count.
Menu is quite limited. We went with OMAKASE - letting the chef work his magic and bring us food accordingly, 1/4 sashimi, 1/2 nigiri, 1/4 cooked dishes. The check came out to be NT8,000.
We had a wonderful dinner. so full. Satisfying. We walked in the pouring rain from NOMURA all the way home, continuing our conversation from dinner to the streets. It was a joyful feast filled with pleasant surprises, tasted the most delicious Japanese cuisine and the overwelming Nikka Aged 21 yrs Pure Malt Whisky. What more can you ask for?
