6 Months Into Daily Yoga

In case you didn’t know I started taking daily yoga class in March. With the exceptions of June and July when I was back in the States and occasional schedule conflicts I take one yoga class everyday, rain or shine, in the early morning. It’s almost become like a religion – something I do every morning and it energizes me for the whole day.

Six months down the road now have I noticed any differences on my body?

Some ask if I can wrap my feet around my neck. Some wonder if I can do a handstand. Some question if I’ve lost weight by practicing daily yoga.

The answer to all of the above is NO. But I’ll say this though: I’ve bulked up a bit and my boobs did go up a cup size bigger. No, I’m not pregnant. So I’m curious if yoga has contributed to the recent gain of my bra size.

Karen is my hot yoga teacher on Wednesday. Once she admired my figure while we’re in the elevator together after class.

“You have such a nice figure!” Karen said.

It was a pleasant compliment and totally unexpected.

“Look at who’s talking. You’re the one with the body that’s toned up elegantly.” I meant what I said. I’d kill to have a body like hers.

“In case you didn’t notice, you have meat at all the right places. Even on your booty. That’s rare for Asians. We tend to have flat butts.”

Ain’t that the truth? No wonder I fell in love with that song instantly back in high school – BABY GOT BACK by Sir Mix-A-Lot!

My Neighbor

This morning I ran into my neighbor by the elevator. Both of us were waiting for the lift.

She said, “I love your hair, so full of body and volume. It still looks good even at this ungodly hour! ”

Indeed. It was 6:45 am and I was going to my daily yoga class.

My neighbor continued, “I rushed to cut my hair short like yours after I saw your short haircut. It looked so good on you! You have no idea the kind of influence you have on people!”

Yes you probably have guessed it by now. My neighbor adores me. When I was on TV she would watch my program, pick up the phone, dial the number and place a purchase of whatever I was selling on TV. When I quit that job she told me that she decided to go cold turkey on TV shopping. What an avid fan!
