My friend Tricia sent me an Email after she saw these picture and demanded an explanation. When I first put up the pictures, I did intend to write up a few lines. But I got busy with work ad forgot all about it. MY BAD!
For years I had long and silky hair. And I took some serious time and money to care for my hair which had become my personal signature. Many women have long hair but not like mine - it was down to my waist and it was shiny. Everyone thought it's gorgeous.
Every so often (especially during summertime) I wish I had short hair. Caring for long hair is very time-consuming. I was diligent about the weekly hair treatment and daily brushing. In order to get proper washing, I chose to go to the hair salon every 3 days for a hair wash. Imagine all the time and money spent throughout all the years on my hair alone!
Last year I began nurturing for a brand new hairstyle that's short and chic. When my 32nd birthday was around the corner, I asked the hairdreser at the TV network to do the honor. She was stunned and reassured a million times that I was serious about chopping my hair off. The first cut was a success! Everyone raved about it and thought I should have done it sooner!
Afterwards, I would go back for a trim every two months but then I always ended up with a new cut. By now I'm onto my fifth haircut since last October. This is by far the shortest ever in my life.
Uncle Paul says, "Sweetie, it's so sexy and chic! And it looks great on you!"
Bruce raves, "It's very modern woman around town!"
Tom compliments, "It's beautiful. Diva's hair is just like this!"
George begs, "I really like it and I will have to be seen with your new hairdo!"
Simon laughs, "You look like a little boy! It's cute though."
Owen screams, "Weird! Short hair makes your face appear smaller! NOT FAIR!"
I adore this new haircut and love the highlights added to it. This is what a 30-something year old woman should feel - chic, young, and sexy!
