When It Comes to Shopping - Like Father Like Daughter!

For as long as I can remember, I LOVE SHOPPING! Most girls probably grew up shopping with their moms. But I didn't. I learned all about shopping from my dad. Hey! I'm a daddy's girl. I believe in that saying, "Daughters are their father's lover in the past life!"

My dad was in the States last month. He didn't waste any time and took advantage of my uncle's employee discount at a high-end department store. When daddy came home, he told me to go see Uncle Paul when I have the urge to splurge out on luxury goods.

Just last week I sort of took on a challenge unexpectedly.

"Can you not smoke?" I asked "J".

"Can you not shop?" he replied.

That's all it took. What a dare!

Obviously he doesn't think I can keep myself away from my favorite stores and I have no faith in him quitting cigaretts.

Okay, this is my game plan. "If I don't go to the malls, then I won't browse. If I don't browse, then I won't buy. If I don't buy, then I won't charge."

Sigh...so much for my game plan. After work today, I stopped by the supermarket in Breeze Center and the next thing I know, I was trying on dresses at BCBG.

However, it's worth noting that even though I loved all the outfits I tried on, I only bought 3 out of 6 dresses on the rack by eliminating the colors I already had and the less versatile outfit.

Trying out clothes can be as exciting as hitting the jackpot. I felt like the lottery winnder today! The dresses fit me perfectly as if they are custom-made for me!!! What are the chances of that happening, right? Oh it's meant to be! =)

"M" just received his credit card bill today. He's sunk into depression since opening the envelope. The guilt will probably linger for the next few days. He shopped like there's no tomorrow during a 10-day vacation. It was fun and fulfilling.

The dresses were on sale for 70% off. So, three dresses cost me less than what one dress could have cost in regular retail price. That's one hell of a bargain! My dad would be so proud of me for such a marvelous purchase!

Every so often you'll hear about a friend or two in debt to the banks. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people living off borrowed money. As long as you don't owe anybody money, you can spend your earnings any way you wish. So, shop 'till you drop if it makes you happy!
